Oslo – 7 October 2021 – Seaway 7 ASA is pleased to announce that they have been selected as a preferred contractor by Ørsted for the transport and installation of wind turbine generators for part of the Gode Wind 3 and Borkum Riffgrund 3 offshore windfarms in Germany. The installation will utilise the company’s jack-up installation vessel VIND1, and the projects are expected to be fully commissioned in 2024 and 2025. During 40 days this spring, the M/V Hawk has been sailing with the floating dry-dock ADBS-1, for Promaritime from Abu Dhabi, UAE to Brest, France. The challenging and exciting project started at the end of April, in Abu Dhabi, where the floating dry-dock measuring 180 by 37 meters, was loaded and diagonally stowed on Hawk’s deck. When complete in 2023, Seagreen will be Scotland’s largest, and the world’s deepest, fixed-bottom offshore wind farm. As the main contractor, Seaway 7 is managing the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of Seagreen’s 114 wind turbine generator foundations and approximately 300km of associated inter-array cables.

11 August 2021: The delivery of what will be Scotland’s largest offshore wind farm took another major step forward today as the first jacket superstructures, destined for the 1.1GW Seagreen project arrived at Port of Nigg in Cromarty Firth, ahead of their upcoming installation in the deep waters of the North Sea, 27km off the Scottish coast near Angus. Subsea 7 S.A. today announced an agreement to combine its Renewables business unit(1) with OHT ASA (Oslo Børs: OHT), subject to the customary approvals, conditions and relevant employee consultations. The combined company will be renamed Seaway 7 ASA and will initially retain OHT’s listing on Oslo’s Euronext Growth market, with a view to a future listing on Oslo Børs.
